Hoon Choi
Hoon Choi has been with Tedia for almost 20 years. With a chemical engineering bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan (“Go Blue!”), Hoon worked as a product development engineer with Olin Corporation in Lake Charles LA. In 1988, Hoon received his M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University and then was recruited to Proctor and Gamble as a Financial Analyst. He joined Tedia as a General Manager in 1990 and has been with Tedia ever since. Hoon became President in 2006 and is responsible for sales, finance, strategy, and operations. Hoon is married and has two children.
Dr. Bala (Bert) Nalliah
Dr. Bala (Bert) Nalliah has over 30 years of experience in the field of solvents purification and the North American Laboratory chemical market. He received his BSc (Hons) in chemistry from University of Ceylon, Colombo in Sri Lanka and proceeded to Canada to continue his studies. He received his PhD in organic chemistry in 1974 from University of Waterloo in Ontario. After few years of post doctoral experience he joined Caledon Laboratories as the Chief chemist to develop purification and analytical methods for high purity solvents. Bert moved to USA in 1989 joining Aldrich Chemical Company in Sheboygan, WI as Product Manager for a newly-created department responsible for the production and marketing of solvents. Bert has been at Tedia since 1994 and is Vice-President of the company. He is currently responsible for research and development, production and quality control. Bert is married and has three children.
Elinora Park
Elinora Park completed her bachelor's degree in nursing in Taegu, South Korea, Elinora moved to the United States to pursue further studies in nursing. She received her master's degree in nursing from Wayne State University. After practicing as an operating room nurse for many years, she and her husband Richard Moon Park founded Tedia in 1975. During their years at Tedia, Elinora and Moon were responsible for all aspects of the business. Elinora oversaw purchasing, logistics, operations, and accounting, while Moon oversaw production and quality. After Moon's untimely passing in 1989, Elinora took over as President. She continued to be responsible for purchasing, logistics, and accounting until she retired from Tedia in 2006. Elinora continues to advise on major decisions. Elinora has two children. |
